You owe it to yourself to see the incredible and beautiful dunes along Lake Michigan in northwestern Indiana. Check out the lake, the dunes, bogs, marshes and more at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore or Indiana Dunes State Park. If you’re feeling adventurous try sport fishing on big water with one of the many Lake Michigan Charter Captains.

While heading north perhaps you’d like to stop off at Indiana Beach amusement park. There you can enjoy rides, roller coasters, games, swimming and a water park. It’s fun for children and adults alike, and there are loads of RV campgrounds nearby.

With over thirty Indiana State Parks and Reservoirs, many with RV campgrounds, there is no shortage of outdoor recreation opportunities in our great state. In northeastern Indiana you can enjoy boat rentals, swimming, fishing, hiking, and much more at Pokagon, Chain O’Lakes and Potato Creek State Parks.

Looking for a little racing action? It’s right here in Indianapolis! You can enjoy Formula One racing, the world-famous Indy 500, the Brickyard 400, and many other sporting events. If it’s horses you want to see race, try Hoosier Park in Anderson or Indiana Downs between Shelbyville and Indianapolis. Or head south and check out the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville.

How about a trip down to the French Lick area? Enjoy golf or horseback riding at the French Lick Springs Resort, take a tour of the historic West Baden Springs Dome, then enjoy a unique round trip ride on a vintage train at the Indiana Railway Museum. From there it’s just a short drive south to Patoka Lake, Indiana’s second largest and most beautiful lake. Rent a boat from a marina, or enjoy hiking, biking and much more.
